We make two kinds of tile by hand: one is flat, the other has a design impressed into the wet clay, using a carved block of wood, as for a woodblock print. The flat ones are used by Matthew to handpaint whatever is required. The tiles with relief are painted by Isabel.

Among the many tile commissions I have done over the years, the tiles for the benches of the square at Agua Amarga stand out.

Hacemos dos clases de azulejo a mano. Una es lisa, y la otra tiene un diseño impreso en en barro con una plancha de madera tallada, como si fuera un grabado de madera. Las lisas las pinta Matthew según la demanda. Las de relieve las pinta Isabel.

Destacan, entre los muchos encargos que hemos realizado, los azulejos en los bancos de la plaza de Agua Amarga.
